Ginger Zoo & Co.

Ho trovato un sacco pieno di animali di plastica, avrei potuto buttarli, in fondo sembravano spazzatura. Ma non ce l'ho fatta e li ho  riutilizzati dando loro ancora una "speranza". E' nato il Ginger Zoo & Co.: sono diventati delle spille e degli orecchini. E a loro si è unito un folto gruppo di oggetti e frammenti destinati al cassonetto, per inutilizzo, rotture o perché chissà cos'erano! E ora sono lì, confezionati e ripuliti che aspettano solo di essere portati a spasso. In realtà loro non aspettano un bel niente - e come potrebbero!-  ma l'idea che un oggetto abbia una vita propria, è vecchia quanto il mondo. Sinceramente non credo di dar loro una nuova vita, bensì una nuova veste, un nuovo ciclo, per evitare ulteriori inutili accumuli di merce ancora utilizzabile, sebbene in una nuova accezione. Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. That's it!

I've found a trash bag full of plastic animals toys, and I could throw it away, actually they looked like trash. But I couldn't do it and I've reused them, giving them a new “hope”. So the Ginger Zoo & Co. was born: they've changed into pins and earrings. And a large group of objects and stuff, doomed to the garbage bin, have joined them.And now they are there, packaged and cleansed, waiting to walk around. Actually they don't wait anything – and how they could! - but the concept that an object has its own life is as old as the world. Sincerly I don't think that I'm giving them a new life, rather a new look, a new cycle, to avoid further and useless accresion of usable commodity, althought in a different meaning. Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. That's it!
